5.3 Visualizing the output

5.3.1 Text structuration

The two text subwindows are structured and organized similarly: in a list of items each preceded with a triangle. Click on this triangle to display/hide the description of an item.

In the right text subwindow, the first node of the tree corresponds to the summary of the comparision (i.e., the informations about the files loaded – see fig:qod:summary). and the second node corresponds to the partition tree.

5.3.2 Keyword search facility

The Edit menu offers a search facility to look for the occurrences of a word with wildcards (* and ?) in the segmentation or the partition text subwindow (see fig:qod:searchbar). It can be access with key combintations (Ctrl/Apple+F) that depends on the operating system.

5.3.3 Diagrams representations

The two diagrams are parallel: their abscissa represents the position in the central genome. The horizontal cursor on the top allows to zoom in both diagrams simultaneously, while the vertical cursor located to the left of each diagram enables vertical zoom.
